The hockey was going to be tough at the Beijing 2008 Olympics first I will tell you how the women went and then the men.

Women’s:
It was a terrible olympics for the women’s hockey team loosing all of there pool matches. Their last pool match was against U.S.A and it was terrible. New Zealand womens should be depressed. The womens hockey final was good for China because they were holding the olympics and they made the final for womens hockey. China played Netherlands in the final. Unfortunatly China lost the final.

Mens Hockey:
The mens hockey team definitely did better then the women’s hockey team. First they played Korea and won! But then they played 2nd in the world Spain they made it tough but in the last 10 seconds Spain won and took the match 1-0. their next game was against Germany it was hard and we lost. Then NZ played China and tied 2-2. NZ made it to the playoffs but whatever they did they would be out of the cup because they didn’t win all of the games they needed to win they won 4-2 to Pakistan and left the games. The final was Germany VS Spain Germany won.

So NZ didn’t play to well but next time we will hope to get a medal. The five top countries overall are:

1. Netherlands.
2. Germany.
3. Spain.
4. China .
5. Australia.

This years Olympics is the 29th. It was held in Beijing, China. New Zealand got:

3 Golds,

1 Silver

and 5 Bronze

The Olympics is a contest to see how each participating country goes.
Our Golds were from:

1. Rowing finals: the Everswindal twins.

2. Shotput finals: Valerie Vili.

3. Wind-surfing finals: Tom Ashley

The Silver was from:

1. Cycling finals: Hayden Roulsten.

And finally our Bronze.

1. Rowing finals: Mahi Drysdale.

2. Rowing finals: Double Sculls

3. Biking finals: Team Pursuit

4. 1500m finals: Nicholas Wills

5. Olympic Distance: Bevan Docherty

We didn’t exactly come 1st, 2nd or 3rd like China, USA and Russia but maybe we’ll try harder next time…

The Olympics went from 12.08 on Saterday to Sunday the 24th of August, So in Chinese time it would be 08/08/08 at 08 minutes past 8.00 p.m.

Come on New Zealand try harder next time, Hope you get more medals- 4 years to train hard.

Once upon a time there lived a King who had lots of gold and jewls. “I am the best gold collecter, I love collecting gold it is my favourite thing”, he said. The King had 4 servants. 1 was called Goldenmate. Number2 was called Gangster. Number3 was called James. Number 4 was known as Jewlcollector, he collected the most beautiful gold and jewls in the whole of the universe! When it was servant meeting, all the servants agreed to have a fabulous contest. It is about can get the best gold.The King agreed to be the judge.” Who ever wins will get 1 billion chick ching[money],said the King. ” Let the tournourment begin”, said James. 1st was Goldenmate he brought a golden statue of the King. ” You pass”, said the King. 2nd was Gangster he brought a red crystal. ” You fail, Gangster your fired”, said the King. 3rd was James he brought gold temples ” Hope you like them”, said James. ” I hate them, your fired”, said the King. ” Your the one who should be fired, I hate you”, shouted James.” Wait James I will not let you talk back to me. So come with me into this room”, said the King almost running out of breath. James followed the King. The King said ” Put your head here facing down”. The King got his sword, the King whispered ” Good bye James”. The King scooped forward and chopped James’s head off. Last of all was Jewlcollector he brought a gold map ” This is not what I wanted good bye Jewlcollector. Well done Goldenmate I love your golden statue”, said the King. The King gave $ 1 BILLION to Goldenmate The King was sad cause he had no money but also he had no more servants because Goldenmate had retired and all the other servants had got fired. Just then someone knocked on the door it was the King’ s old wife he thought that she was dead but no now the King was not lonely any more and the King and Queen lived happily ever after.

In a tropical rain-forest with huge, curvy vines, there were vast of tall trees with spiky leaves. The heavy rain flooded the forest. At night it soaked all the flowers and they drowned from having too much water.

One day there was a dog he was out to look for some delicious food. He came past a house and he saw a big delicious, scrumptious bone with meat on it. It was so juicy that he ran and quickly took the bone and ran home over a bridge. He looked down and he saw another dog with a delicious, scrumptious bone. The dog on the bridge growled once growled twice. The third time the delicious, scrumptious, juicy bone fell in the river.
